At Guilford Newcomers & Neighbors Club, there’s always something happening! From monthly groups to annual traditions, our members enjoy a variety of ways to connect and have fun. Beyond social gatherings, we’re proud to give back through civic activities. Whether you’re looking to meet new friends, try new activities, or make a difference in the community, there’s a place for you here.

  • Book Lovers

    If you love to read, you’ll love Book Clubs! Meet new friends in a different home each month to discuss selected books and other topics. Snacks and libations always on hand.

  • Women’s Nights

    Make friends over a meal. Not everyone can do lunch, so this group mixes it up, meeting for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or even breakfast at various local eateries once a month. New faces always welcome.

  • Wine Tasting with a Twist!

    Bring two bottles of the same wine to compete in a wine-tasting contest and an appetizer or dessert to share.  Each guest votes on their favorite bottle and the winner takes home all the extra bottles of wine.

  • Men’s Night Out

    Darts, anyone? This group is just for men. Each month, the guys gather at a local drinking establishment. Bar games, food and drinks are always on hand.

  • Young Families

    Come join Young Families and make new friends! This playgroup meets regularly, at members’ homes or out and about around town.

  • Trivia Night

    Join us for monthly trivia night at Thimble Island Brewery. It’s a fun night out to meet new friends and test your knowledge!

  • Branford Community Kitchen

    GNN cooks and serves at the Branford Community Kitchen on the first Sunday every other month and welcomes members to join after a brief training.

  • Outdoor Activities

    Join us for outdoor adventures as we explore the beauty of Guilford together. The Ghost Tour, Thimble Island Cruise, and putting our rumps on stumps at The Place are a few of our annual outings.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Newcomers Club delivers Meals on Wheels to members of our community twice a month, and also donates to various local organizations throughout the year. There are a number of organizations in Guilford that welcome, and are always very appreciative of volunteers. Some of these local organizations include:
